After the Outpost, the squad heads into the heat. Scorchpan Basin is the second Operation of Chapter 1: sand, sun-bleached walls and a Redlens army that has dug in deeper.
What's inside
- Area 5: an Elite Squad. Elites are marked so you can spot them, and they hit harder. Deal with them first.
- Area 10: the Stomper returns, now with company.
- Area 15: Protect the flag. Hold your ground while the Redlens try to take it.
- Area 20: the Troop Hauler, a tracked carrier that drops Rifle Troopers down its ramp.
- Area 25: the Dune Crusher, a tracked heavy tank with a dozer blade and a shell that bounces off walls.
Tips for the desert
- The sand is open, so cover matters. Tall cover stops enemy rounds; stand next to it and keep shooting.
- The Troop Hauler opens its rear hatch while it unloads. That's your moment to hit it hard.
